Now there are no longer any doubts or uncertainties: Sunday 13 September from Casal Borsetti the second edition of “Ravenna Park Race” will start, the event in nature that already on the occasion of its debut in 2019 had received an incredible success with the public, at the same time enthusiastic reviews on the beauty of the route entirely planned in the Delta del Po Park in the territory of the Northern Lidos of Ravenna.

An event that, of course, will be organized in full compliance with all the current regulations against the spread of Covid-19 and in compliance with the guidelines issued. And just to comply with all the health protection guidelines, this year it will not be possible to register on the spot or even in the hours immediately preceding the start. For the 2020 edition, registrations are only possible online on the website www.ravennaparkrace.com and will close at midnight on Tuesday 8 September.

A few days, therefore, to register, both for the competitive 21 km Trail Running (http://bit.ly/trailrpr) without differences in height at sea level, and for Eco Walking, the recreational motor walk in nature of 8 km (http: //bit.ly/walkrpr).

An event for which, in addition to the beauty of the area, between the embankment promenade, the narrow streets of the pine forest and the pialassa, great attention will be paid to health safety in a period in which it is necessary to never let your guard down. Therefore, following the guidelines drawn up for this type of event, the departure is set from 8.45 am in the vicinity of the Red Star Sports Center in Casal Borsetti. Starting will be 50 members at a time, with each group spaced by three minutes and within which all those present will be required to comply with the spacing rules to minimize the risk of contagion. The competitive runners of the 21 km Trail will start first, followed by the non-competitive runners and walkers. Along the route, which will also touch the areas of Marina Romea and Porto Corsini, the refreshment points will be provided in disposable packages and all participants will have to deposit the waste in the special containers designed to respect health and the environment.

And again to comply with the anti Covid-19 regulations, the bib can be collected at the Ravenna Incoming offices, IAT Mausoleo Teodorico in Via delle Industrie n. 14 in Ravenna on Friday 11, from 9.30 to 18.30, and Saturday 12 September, in the morning from 9.00 to 13.00. From 3.30 pm to 7.00 pm on Saturday afternoon, bibs can be collected at the Park Race Village set up in the Stella Rossa Sports Center in Casal Borsetti. On the day of the race, from 7.15 to 8.15, collection will always be possible at the Red Star Center, but only for residents outside the Municipality of Ravenna.

Naturally, in the pre and post event phases, we will proceed with all the attention that has become customary in recent months, such as measuring the temperature, indicating the appropriate spaces to be occupied and the paths to follow to avoid gatherings.

And after having memorized and adopted the right behaviors, all that remains is to enjoy the wonder of an unparalleled path in an ecosystem preserved for hundreds of years. The paths of the Pineta San Vitale among pines, poplars, holm oaks, a rich undergrowth, the large brackish lagoons connected to the sea and crossed by a network of canals on which the characteristic fishing huts stand. The Pialassa della Baiona with the bumps emerging from the waters on which plants of rare beauty grow and many species of birds live, including the famous herons. The Casal Borsetti embankment, which will allow you to cover a section of the route overlooking the sea in September.

The event is included in the Trail calendar of the UISP Emilia-Romagna. For all information and registration, please visit the website www.ravennaparkrace.com.
